The war between Russia and Ukraine, arguably one of the most brutal wars imaginable, has now entered its seventh month. Even with a glimmer of hope and possible turning point for the Ukrainians in the last few days, the humanitarian crisis this has triggered, has caused the largest refugee movement since World War II, with over seven million Ukrainians fleeing the war-torn country, and displacing a third of the population.

This lullaby is here to bring more awareness to this situation. My hope is that as you listen you are soothed by its haunting melody, and that you might imagine those who have been displaced, those who are hungry, children who have lost their homes, families who have lost loved ones to the fighting, those who need medical attention, those who need basic supplies and shelter, and feel moved to donate to their cause. I have selected four charities that particularly speak to me, as a guide, but ultimately I want this song to raise awareness and if it moves you to donate or do something for this cause, then I thank you.
